Biographie
Marc Claret did his PhD in Biochemistry at University of Barcelona (2003). He joined the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology at the University College London as a post-doc (2004-2009), where investigated the role of the AMPK signaling cascade on the central control of appetite and metabolism. Since 2010, Marc Claret is leading the “Neuronal Control of Metabolism” team at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS). One of his main interests is focused in understanding how organisms sense fluctuations in nutrient/energy availability and engage effector mechanisms of energy balance. His current interests link mitochondrial dynamics and function with metabolism control.
