Visa requirements
Attendees bear the sole responsibility for the organization and acquisition of any individual visa requirements. Attendees who require a valid entry visa for Switzerland must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. To determine how much time is needed to process a visa application, attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate in their home country. The organizers will not directly contact embassies or consulates on behalf of visa applicants.
In principle, everyone needs a valid travel document. Switzerland may allow EU/EFTA citizens with expired travel documents to cross the border. Travel documents of third-country nationals for a short stay not exceeding 90 days in any period of 180 days, however, must:
- be valid for at least three months after the planned departure from Switzerland and
- have been issued within the previous ten years.
The date of issue of the travel document is what counts, regardless of any official extension.
In some cases, you may also need to obtain a visa. The organizers will provide any required documents confirming participation to the conference only after registration is confirmed by fee.
